#he ripped out the blaine ones and put them into the box he carefully hides under his bed #and everytime he feels alone and misses home #he pulls the box out from underneath his bed#opens the lid and looks at everything in front of him #like the gum wrapper ring blaine gave him as a promise to never stop loving him #or the picture of him and his dad #and the little brooch his mother gave him weeks before she died #and he smiles and picks up the calendar sides #stares at blaine’s face until the pain slowly fades away and warmth spreads through his tummy #he picks up his phone and without thinking presses 1 and calls #waiting for to hear the familiar voice #heart beating fast in his chest until… #”hello?” #”b..blaine…” #”kurt? is everything okay?”#”yeah i just.. i think i just missed you” #”i miss you too.. everyday” #”you.. you do?” #”of course i do” #and they settle into a easy conversation until kurt relaxes and can finally breathe again

and if he says your father smelt of elderberries, well, wine was primarily made from elderberries in the time of king arthur. he’s calling his dad a drunk
